Balancing Lecture and Park-Time Work

You have to cnider a number f factors when deciding whether or not to get  a job. The important thing is to arm yourself with as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice makes the most sense for you

If you are considering working park-time, schedule a meeting wit your lecture counselor to discuss this move. Talk to turconsellor about why you want to work and whattype of position yuo’re  seeking. Simply explaining yur goals to someone else can help you make decisions and figure out your priorities.

University lecture, including homework and studyng for test, should always be your top priority. “The activites choose vary considerably, so it’is important for young people to keep their individual situations clearly in mind,” said Brad MacGowan, director of the Career Centre at Newton North High School in Massachusetts. Further, MacGowan cautions university lecture wh do deide to work : “If you’re rushing through your assignment or not studying enough for tests because of work, it’s time to cut back or quit and find a less time-consuming job. “ He adds, “University ecture should lwys let their empoyers known what their time liits are.” If you are being pressured to work more hours than you ca handle, you need to find a new place to work.
